If you’re a new agent you need training, coaching and other support but you’re going to pay for it. If you’re an agent with 3–5 years’ experience you need help finding more clients on which to hone your skills. If you have more than 5 years’ experience you probably just need “back-end” support like marketing, transaction coordination, errors and omissions insurance, file review, etc. for the least amount of money.

Above all, you need to feel comfortable with the people and environment in which you work. Take your time and shop around by interviewing several brokers before choosing one. Remember, they need you more than you need them!
