Give A Credit Or Fix It?

If you’re planning on selling your house but it needs a bit of work like new interior paint or a new carpet most sellers think it’s easier just to give a credit rather than have the items replaced or fixed. Unfortunately, that’s a mistake that could cost you thousands! Let’s say that a new basic carpet and pad would cost $3,000 except that the buyer wants an upgraded carpet and pad costing $6,000. In addition, the price of your house could drop by $10,000-20,000 because a soiled carpet reduces the number of interested buyers by 10%. It’s better to do the work to make your house look its best rather than giving a credit.
